Thanks again to pinterest, Wayde had a marvelous surprise waiting for him tonight.
During my lunch time errand run, I had stopped by the dollar store and walked by the glow stick bracelets. As soon as I saw them, my memory lit up & I grabbed a package. For tonight, I was now going to surprise Wayde with a glow-in-the-dark bath night!
We kept with our usually nightly routine. As it came closer to bath time, Wayde played and danced in his room as he always does, while I filled up his bath. But I watched curiosity run across his face as I turned off the lights. Here is when i can guarantee he was probably thinking “What I my crazy mama doing now?” Then I opened up the package, snapped the glow stick, and heard a squeal of excitement from across the room!
“MAMA LIGHT!”
“MAMA LIGHT”
As I threw the 5 glow sticks into the dark bathtub, the water bursted with colors! I thought Wayde was going to hurdle into the water while still fully clothed. He couldn’t even contain his excitement.
Hours later and with fading glow-sticks, Wayde was done and ready for bed. But the memory of his joy tonight will still light up my mind!
I can guarantee we will be doing this again, real soon!
