Upon arriving, we were immediately scolded for not wearing the proper apple picking attire.. Hmmm, We now know that sandals are a no-no for serious apple picking days!
We walked around the Sherwood orchards with our big white buckets, picking a few apples, plums and pears. Having no idea what was ripe & what wasn’t, we hardly filled our bucket to the brim. Maybe we should have asked for some assistance, but we were too scared after getting reprimanded already!
Wayde went up to every tree and asked “is this an apple tree?” and would scream a “NO” or “YES” appropriately! He has grown quite fond of apple trees while at his daycare, as they pick them daily to feed to the horse or throw over the hill! He spent the rest of the day picking up the “ucky” apples from the ground and shaking his head at them or hiding plums under his shirt asking “where it go mama?”. It was quite adorable!
In between the apples and the plums, Wayde & wyatt even had a juggling showdown. I have photos to prove it!
All in all, we had a good time walking around the orchards!
