Birthday Fun

Wyatt picked me up from the airport on Tuesday, with my Grandma Jo waiting to say good bye before heading home to Baton Rouge. It is needless to say, that my grandma Jo absolutely fell in love with Wyatt, and is already trying to steal him away from me to Baton Rouge! :)

After my surprise of gorgeous roses and a card, Wyatt took me downtown for a afternoon walk in the sun! After listening to horrible street music, people watching and browsing street car vendors, we headed home.

As we passed by the sign for the Oregon Zoo, we knew that we had to stop and enjoy the day! I had no change of clothes due to my early morning flight from Chicago, but Wy bought me a children’s bright pink shirt sporting “born to be wild”, he couldn’t help but laugh as I put it on! He also bought us some animal like visors to sport around for a traditional tourist zoo trip. Wy decided on the Tiger mouth, and he bought me the elephant with the long trunk. We got more looks from wearing these hats all day then anything!!

The zoo was wonderful, even though they are doing a large amount of construction. We still were able to see many animals and the birds of prey show! We spend about 4 hours walking around and enjoyed our afternoon zoo train ride as well! Wy had a great time watching the polar bears and seeing the baby elephant!

For the evening, we were taking my parents to our Favorite Wing’s place for my birthday dinner. It was great to show my family the place we talk about continuously, and they had great live music playing on the other side of the restaurant. As we played trivia and ate our yummy wings, we all laughed and enjoyed the night. We event stopped for birthday celebration gelato, I think the chocolate covered yellow cake was a hands down favorite! :) Once we got home, We even forced Wyattto watch my baby videos in celebration, poor guy!

It was a perfect night for Wy and I to spend with my family!
