If you were to ask Wyatt what is his favorite thing to do in Oregon? I would bet money on this one word answer….Crabbing!
Wyatts been dying to get back on the ocean since he pulled up his first crab pot a few years ago. Not only does he love to just eat the crab, but he is a “kid in a candy store” from the time he throws out the first pot until the last crab is cooked and cleaned. I would call him a “crabbing junkie”… except he’s only been on the boat twice. Although from his stories, you would think he was a part of the deadliest catch. It’s adorable!
My parents offered to go out crabbing this weekend & Wyatt immediately jumped on the chance! Wayde & I went along for the ride, as this was going to be waydes very first time on the boat.
Wayde, Willie & I watched the sea lions swim about as the rest of the crew was very hard at work catching crab! My mom & wyatt were pulling up the heavy pots, while dad was steering the boat. It was quite a sight to behold, very impressive!
Wayde even got to touch a small little baby crab… although he was mighty scared!
It was only a matter of a few hours before 48 crabs were caught and we were headed back to the shore. You couldn’t have asked for a better day!
I cant even begin to tell you how good dinner was tonight!
