As we packed our Dinner & snacks to head to the Beaverton Kaiser office again for our first Childbirth class, we were greatly disappointed as our teacher was sick. As a substitute for class, she sent us home with a text of reading and video’s to watch instead, so to say that we were disappointed was the least of it! The instructor briefly went through the syllabus of the next 5 weeks before closing the doors, but it sounds like the videos have prepared Wyatt and I more than this class may! We also are the smallest baby bump in the class, so I think we started much earlier than others for preparation!
We will see how next week’s class goes, as we will be learning breathing exercises and practicing labor positions. I already have a feeling that we will not be able to keep a straight face! For now, Wyatt and I have a stack of homework to catch up on. Who knew it would be like we were in school again!
