Day Two!

Wednesday came quickly, as it was back to the grind and Wy unpacked all his belongings in the apartment! It only took him a few hours to feel completely at home and his possessions now surround the house. Now if we could only get some more closet space!! :)

We both met up at Kim’s parent’s house for lunch and to check in on Willie! He was happy as ever and starting to look right at home in his new OSU Beaver dog caller! As we made chicken quesadilla’s and Wyatt tried his first un-cooked tortilla from Costco (the BEST tortillas you will ever find!), I attempted to convince him to ride with me to Washington for a work related errand. I needed to get a document notarized in the state of Washington and he so agreeably (and without too much arm twisting) offered to accompany me!

Here was willie so excited to see Wy!

45 minutes later, Wy was in the state of Washington and has now conquered all the western states! He only went into the city of Vancouver, which is right over the Oregon border, but it still counts for a checkmark on his list! It was a quick trip at Kinko’s then right back home, but it was great to have some company and show him a new city.

As Wy waited for 5pm to arrive, he made an amazing shrimp angel hair pasta for my arrival home from work! Pure ecstasy for me, as this is something I could really get use to, ha!

Today set record temperatures for the state of Oregon as well! SO HOT!

We went to pick up Willie and take him to the Hondo Hillsboro Dog Park. Although it was 105 degrees out, Willie still had enough energy to run and play with the other pups. It was nothing like the dog facilities in Lawrence he was use to, but at least giving him some freedom from the leash! He was the smallest dog there, but really feels at ease with the large hounds!

As the night ended, it was extraordinary to feel completely at home with Wyatt and settled into our new place! It all is becoming so real, and I love every minute of it!
